Interfaith Community Services (Interfaith) empowers people in need to stabilize and improve their lives through comprehensive programs, in partnership with diverse faith communities and people of compassion.
Interfaith strives to improve the quality of life for all individuals in North San Diego County, providing individualized assistance that enhances their physical, mental, and social wellness. Interfaith provides both immediate safety net services and long-term, life-trajectory changing services for the most poor and vulnerable of our North San Diego County community members, including individuals and families experiencing homelessness, low-income individuals, food-insecure families, low-wage earners, day laborers, seniors, youth, veterans and their families, and individuals with mental health needs and substance use issues. Programs are organized into five (5) main areas: Self-Sufficiency and Supportive Services, Clinical and Behavioral Health, Employment and Economic Development, Recovery and Wellness, and Housing Services. Under these programs are numerous services covering a broad spectrum of support, designed to overlap so that each client has access to as many resources as necessary for his or her individual situation.
Interfaith offers programs throughout North County, from the coastal city of Oceanside to the inland communities south and east of our Inland Service Center in Escondido. With more than 350 member faith communities, 132 dedicated staff, and 622 recurrent volunteers, Interfaith served over 17,000 clients last year, providing a wide array of comprehensive social support services for low-income or homeless families, individuals, children and youth.
